02/03/2008 - 1:00pm

Learn to overhaul, adjust, maintain and fine tune your bikes headset (the hardware and bearings that connect a bike's fork to its frame and that the handlebars turn on).

Traditional "threaded" headsets are prefered and will be the most comprehensive to learn adjustments. "Threadless" and cartridge bearing headsets will also be covered but these styles have limited user serviceabilty.

A new headset can be installed in this class although installation will be limited to pressing in cups and setting the crown race. Head tube and crown race facing will not be covered in this class. Please purchase a new headset at your local bike shop if you plan to install at this class. WTB does not stock headsets for purchase.

A suggested donation of $15 is recommended for participation in this class. Ball bearings, grease and other supplies are included.
