Bike Club participants at the shop are getting bicycles ready for Three Kings Day. These bicycles will be gifted to youth in the area and is one way the Bike Club builds community. They have 60 bikes done so far and will be giving them away on Friday the 6th at the Humboldt Park Field House. The Three King Winter Fest march starts in front of Ciclo Urbano at 3pm and heads west down Divison Street to the Field House. Since 1995, the Three Kings Winter Fest is celebrated on January 6, the Epiphany and has become a tradition embraced by the entire community. Children carol Puerto Rican aguinaldos from business to business and the Three Magi, volunteers from the Latin American Motorcycle Association (LAMA), lead a procession down Division St. along Paseo Boricua, joined by thousands, in a carnival-like atmosphere with children singing aguinaldos accompanied by Bomba & Plena music. This work is part of our partnership with the Division Street Business Development Association and the Puerto Rican Cultural Center.
