WTB will celebrate the support of its membership and volunteers TONIGHT! If you've been involved in helping West Town Bikes this summer please join us this evening to applaud our summer success. WTB will provide beverages, please bring food and or snacks to share!

The third Friday of every month is Member's Night when members are able to use the shop, tune up their bikes, work on projects and socialize with other members and staff. For more info on becoming a member visit the Get Involved page on our website.

Learn how to ride safely with confidence and ease in Chicago. This 3 hour class includes demonstrations, drills and on street practice that will give cyclists of all levels a better understanding of local cycling laws, tips and tricks for a more enjoyable commute. To register email the instructor, sarahm@westtownbikes.org and pay the $20 class fee to West Town Bikes. On the day of the class meet at Ciclo Urbano; be ready to ride with your bike, helmet, and a light lunch.

This 6-week series will cover everything you need to know to keep your bike tuned up. You will learn to overhaul bottom brackets, headsets and hubs, true wheels, adjust brakes, replace brake pads and cables, and adjust shifters and derailleurs. Class 6 will cover shifters and derailleurs, from cables to adjustments.

However, there may be spaces available on a week to week basis. Space is secured with payment to the instructor. Suggested base donation for this class is $120 for the entire six week course. Spots in individual classes may be available for a base donation of $20 per class depending on availability.

Fall is here and Winter is just around the corner, but that's no reason to put your bike up for the season! Learn the basics of how to keep your bike running smoothly all Winter long! This workshop will cover basics such as fix-a-flat, basic cable adjustments and more. You'll also learn necessary maintenance for winter riding as well as ways to best equip you and your bike for the cold, dark and snow. This is a great way to learn about your bike and become familiar with West Town Bikes. Bring a bike to work on. No prior knowledge needed!
