Our 5th annual celebration and fundraiser, Bikecitement Night! on 14 November was an awesome success because of your great support and enthusiastic participation.
130 people gathered at the Revolution Brew Pub (Thank You Josh Deth!) to honor our many partners, volunteers and supporters who help us educate and train the youth of Chicago. Together we envisioned a city where biking provides access to better lives and strengthens communities.
We also recognized the Presence Saints Mary & Elizabeth Health Center and its important work investing in the health and well being of our city’s youth and young people. Together we are providing entrepreneurial and leadership skills that promote emotionally and physically healthy lifestyles.
We greatly appreciate the Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation, Clarke Environmental Products and Services, Freeman Kevenides Law Firm, LLC, Keating Law Offices, Oak Park Cycle Club, SRAM, Chuhak & Tecson, LUCHA, and all the others who generously sponsored Bikecitement Night along with Bite Cafe, Blue Man Group, WDCB Jazz Radio, ABUS, Around the Bend Brewery, Kuma’s, CLIF Bar and the many more who contributed such wonderful items to our Silent Auction. Together we raised over $38,000. That’s over $6,000 more than what we raised last year!
Your generosity will go to start new youth programs throughout Chicago like The 606/Bloomingdale Trail Ambassadors and YouthPlan: Biking & Advocacy! We are excited to continue engaging the city's youth and their families in using this and other new community resources.
Again, thank you for attending the 2017 Bikecitement Night
